SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WE NAVIGATE
THROUGH COVID-19

As we enter into a new season of worshipping together, The Spring Valley Church of the Nazarene wants to reassure you of the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our congregation. As we navigate through the many phases of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the physical well-being of you and your family will always be our top priority.

To ensure the safety of all in the building, here is a brief description of the safety measures we are taking:

Face Masks

As mandated by the state of New York, face masks are required for all attendees as soon as they enter the building. Wearing face masks while outdoors on the church grounds is also encouraged.

Health Screening

Upon entering the building, please be prepared for a brief temperature scan. Anyone with a temperature over 100 degrees or presenting with visible signs of illness (sneezing, coughing, runny nose, etc.,) will be politely asked to leave the premises and seek out the appropriate medical attention, if necessary.

Social Distancing

Social distancing rules are in effect when inside the building. Please maintain 6 ft of separation between you and others at all times. Physical forms of greeting (hugs, kisses, etc.) are prohibited. Please also adhere to markings on the floor and walls that direct the flow of foot traffic.

Seating

Ushers will lead you to your seats in the sanctuary. Families and groups will be seated together, while individuals will be seated separately. We ask that families keep their children with them at all times. Ushers will also use social distancing practices, except when close proximity is necessary.

Proper Safety Equipment

Proper safety equipment, such as face masks, hand sanitizers, gloves, etc., are available for use at the front of the church. Sanitizing stations are also present throughout the building for your convenience.

Restrooms

Restrooms should be occupied one at a time, not in groups. Please use proper hygiene practices while occupying the bathrooms. Children should be accompanied by a parent when using the restrooms.

With love and concern, we encourage those who are 65 years and older, or those who have pre-existing health conditions, to join us for service online via our live streams on YouTube and Facebook Live.

***WE ARE ADHERING TO THE MANDATES ISSUED BY THE STATE OF NEW YORK AS THEY RELATE TO THE NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING AT ONE TIME. BECAUSE OF THIS, ALL ATTENDEES WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR SUNDAY SERVICES DURING THE WEEK. THOSE WHO HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR SERVICE MAY BE POLITELY ASKED TO LEAVE THE CHURCH GROUNDS, DEPENDING ON THE CAPACITY OF THE BUILDING.***

DUE TO CAPACITY RESTRAINTS,  IN-PERSON WORSHIP SERVICE ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED 5 PEOPLE PER HOUSEHOLD
